You might be wondering, what is a Pecha Kucha presentation?

There are some great example presentations in this style on this website. Watch a few.

We will be using a shorter version, only 9 slides, but still with 20 seconds each.

Your goal with this presentation is to convince the rest of the class that your game of choice should be played by everyone as part of the Lab 1 Game Cannon exercise. Some important things to consider should be

There should be 9 slides, plus 1 at the end:

Plan your talk carefully, and make your slides very visual with little text. Most importantly, you need to practice. A lot. Really. This is not a presentation where you want to wing it.

This Pecha Kucha exercise is preparing you for pieces of your final project in this course, where you will need to pitch your own game in a short amount of time, and also make a short trailer for the game you create. This is an extremely valuable skill.

Your presentations MUST be made in Google Documents, and shared with me, by 5pm Monday Jan 30. You will still be able to edit your documents after this, but I need the links early to organize for the presentations on Thursday. This is so that I can easily have them ready on one computer, and we can make it through all 15 in one class. Here is a video on how to share with me your link, and set it to advance automatically every 20 seconds. Make sure to use Standard Aspect Ratio 4:3, instead of Widescreen, since this 4:3 ratio is what will be projected in class.
